Cornbread Dressing
Ingredients
1 recipe cornbread
7 or 8 slices stale brown bread, combined with crumbled cornbread to equal 6 cups
1½ cups celery
1 to 1½ cups onion
1 raw egg, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon MSG
3 cups stock
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix all ingredients and place in 9x9 casserole dish.
- Cover with foil and bake, for 1½ hours.
- Remove foil, return to oven, and brown
