Rubye's snow biscuits
¾ cup warm water
1 package yeast
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons corn oil
- Mix together the warm water and yeast and let stand according to directions.
- Sift together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the corn oil and yeast/water mixture to the sifted dry ingredients.
- Stir and roll out and cut out biscuits.
- Let rise to double (1-1½ hours in warm oven).
- Bake at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not overbake.
