Rubye's snow biscuits
¾ cup warm water
1 package yeast
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons corn oil
  1. Mix together the warm water and yeast and let stand according to directions.
  2. Sift together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the corn oil and yeast/water mixture to the sifted dry ingredients.
  4. Stir and roll out and cut out biscuits.
  5. Let rise to double (1-1½ hours in warm oven).
  6. Bake at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not overbake.
