Sausage balls
1 pound ground pork sausage
2 cups biscuit baking mix
1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together sausage and biscuit mix then once that's mixed, mix in the cheese. Form into walnut sized balls and place onto baking sheets.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and sausage is cooked.
Pre-cooked sausage balls may be frozen and then reheated at 350° for 10 minutes.
Excellent tips
  1. Use the KitchenAid mixer to mix instead of doing it by hand -- faster, easier, better results!
  2. Refrigerate the mix so it gets hard
  3. Fry raw balls in pan just to sear them before you put them in the oven, kind of like meatballs
